HANDY LINKS FOR DAY 3 OF THE BASS ELITE NORFORK / BULL SHOALS
CHAMPIONSHIP SUNDAY WITHIN REACH
Carl has a total weight of 28lbs 9oz, sitting in 7th spot he is around 2 pounds behind joint leaders Bill Lowen and Chris Zaldain on 30lb 14oz. Today Carl needs to finish in the Top 12 to fish Championship Sunday back at Norfork Lake
It’s the ANZAC long weekend here in Australia, a time when we remember the sacrifices our war Diggers made to provide us with the freedoms and lifestyle we have today. A big part of the ANZAC spirit was mateship and there was plenty of that on display in Bull Shoals yesterday. Gerald Swindle stopped by to check on Jordon and offer to follow him in to the weigh-in, Stephen Browning helped out some local fishermen with a broken down motor and every Aussie fan will be forever grateful to Mike McClelland who came to Carl’s aid
The mission tonight is simple – finish in the Top 12 and fish the final day of the tournament. For the first time in this event Anglers will be fishing the same waterway for a second day in a row. It will be interesting to see who adapted and what knowledge they gained from yesterday. There were a few Anglers saying they had seen tournament winning fish in their area. Can they catch them today? Have their areas replenished enough? Will someone nail a bag of giants?
The tournament is still super tight and as seen yesterday you can make a jump up the leaderboard of 30 plus spots if you’re dialed in on the right fish. Carl’s looking focused, relaxed, enjoying his time on Bull Shoals and we know how dangerous that makes him…
Tonight Carl will be taking off around 9:15pm Aussie time or 6:15am USA time.Carl was on a short run on Day 2 but it will be interesting to see his strategy fishing the same waterway on back to back days.
There’s no camera man on board with Carl tonight, so BASSTRAKK and the LIVE Blog is what you will need to keep up to date with Carl’s progress
