My fitness goal this year has been about “consistency” I’m not the fittest or the strongest I’ve ever been but I’m the healthiest at this stage of the season! Normally I’d be fishing so much I wouldn’t have time to stay on it and my fitness would slip, but this year I’ve made sure I’ve knocked out at least a 20 minute workout most days and never having more that three days missed. It’s been hard at times but I feel great, I want to fish hard for the rest of my life and don’t want my body to fail me early!
Stretching and improving my posture are all part of my routine now! You can learn a lot from the older guys that have been doing this there whole life and injury from fishing can wreck a career.
