Who remembers this shot from Guntersville in 2015? I had been grinding on the Opens for four years and had finally made it to the Bass Nation Elite Series. I had a few days to pre practice Guntersville before cut off and nothing was going to stop me from getting on the water. Over 11 inches of snow in 24 hours, my truck was the only one sitting at the ramp when I got back in. There were no shops open and no people anywhere it was a Erie feeling as it doesn’t snow like this much in Alabama. I discovered the jig bite and bridge potential over these few days which lead me to my best finish ever a few months later in just my second Elite event. Even though some of the toughest times were in front of me still, I have never lost this motivation and passion for what I do. And to think we are just getting started.
