What an experience it has been, Iv traveled all over East Tennessee with many 3 and 4am starts, long days, half day stalks, crawling across fields, glassing for hours, hiking the mountains and some serious close calls and all though I didn’t get one nothing can replace seeing @kaylajocumsen get her first! 🙏 Thats what’s it’s all about for me! I can’t thank @bradknightfishing @andymorganfishing and @vanderwall423 for the invites and getting me out there and showing me the ropes and what this great State has to offer!
I’ve learnt so much the past three weeks and I’m counting down the days for next year, Id say they will be in some trouble next year! Although the success of hunting is important to put real food on the table it’s everything that comes along with it, the outdoors, the adventure, the camaraderie with your mates and the life lessons you learn are all just as important as the food.
Thanks to everyone for their advice on cooking the legs of Kayla’s bird, we put it in the crock pot for 10 hours with a bunch of veggies and spices, it was phenomenal!! We had it for dinner tonight and enough left over for lunch tomorrow, I’d say never waist the legs on these birds!
Until next year!!
